NACADA Membership Scholarship Application

The Mason Academic Advising Network (MAAN) is funding scholarships to support and engage advising practitioners’ professional development.  Academic advisors from across campus are strongly encouraged to apply for a NACADA Membership Scholarship. Click here for more information about NACADA and membership benefits.  The application process is outlined below:

Eligibility Requirements

  • Academic advisors, classified staff, and administrative or instructional faculty, who have academic advising as a regular aspect of their job responsibilities, are invited to apply for this scholarship.
  • Academic advisors must be committed to the advancement of their profession and academic advising at Mason.

Application Requirements
*NOTE:
previous award winners are ineligible for three years

  1. A written statement of:
    1. how you define your academic advising philosophy.
    2. how you maintain those standards in your individual practice.
  2. A written statement of how:
    1. the NACADA membership will contribute to your professional development.
    2. you plan to engage with the Mason academic advising community if selected for this scholarship.

Review Process:

  • A committee will review applications September 23-24, 2021
  • Scholarship winners will be notified on or about September 27, 2021
  • The membership will begin on October 1st, 2021
